Sirius 800
Sirius 800
Overview
You might think all routers are the same, but take a closer look at the Sirius 800 range and you’ll clearly see the difference.
With a flexible architecture incorporating 4 frame options from 288 x 288 to 1152 x 1152 it’s packed full of features and, unlike other routers, you won’t need to compromise because all of the options are available all of the time. This even includes; embedded and discrete video and audio routing within the same frame, processing on every input and output - including track swap, gain, delay, and mixing capability, independent redundant audio and video crosspoints and up to 140 independent outputs for multiviewers. Plus all of the Sirius 800 routers feature a range of high-performance modules for flexible routing of SD, HD, 3Gbps, ASI, AES and MADI, and many formats are available with fiber interfaces.
The intuitive touch-screen interface on the front panel allows quick and easy access to a comprehensive range of status and diagnostic information, and Snell’s unique Catsii™ technology provides immediate indication of router input and output status, and simple illuminated connector identification.
All of this provides an exceptionally compact, space and power efficient routing system, reducing long term operating costs and increasing system reliability.

Snell Innovation
The flagship Sirius 800 series introduces several ground breaking features:
- Snell’s unique Catsii™ technology allows users to see the status and signal format of all input and output signals, both on the rear of the router utilizing our illuminated connector technology, and remotely utilizing the close integration between Sirius 800 and Snell’s Centra control and monitoring system.
- Our unique approach to redundant crosspoint protection allows a single redundant crosspoint card to protect against failures on multiple crosspoints, providing the highest level of resilience.
- Ground breaking audio processing which allows multiple non-synchronous audio signals to be routed and all outputs to be either sample rate converted or passed transparently at its original data rate.
