Aspect ratio converters
To enable conversion between standard and widescreen formats IQ Modular offers both dedicated ARC modules and ARC functionality in its format conversion modules. The modules use vertical-temporal filtering, and offer up to nine up - down conversion modes.
Converters are available with smooth dynamic pan and tilt controls, line 23 wide screen signalling, video index signalling and input and output blanking.
Noise Reduction
To make the most of the power of digital processing, images have to be as clean and as error-free as possible. To ensure this an SDI pre-processor and a choice of two flexible, powerful SDI noise reduction modules can be incorporated into any IQ Modular system. The noise reduction techniques featured include temporal recursive, median and adaptive horizontal filtering to ensure clean output video, with choice of automatic or manual control.
Keyers & logo inserters
In order to enable images or logos to be added prior to transmission the range also includes both HD and SD-SDI linear keyers and logo inserters. The keyers feature both linear and luma keying and automatic fade up/down capability. As well as operating with the RollCall control and monitoring system the keyers can interface with external systems using RS-422 control. When combined with Snell’s Kahuna switcher this allows seamless integration via the Kahuna control GUI enabling direct keying control and reporting.
The logo inserters can add customer configured logos at any point in the active picture region of the SDI stream. Logo operation can be controlled via RollCall template, GPI or RollTrack triggers, and logos can be efficiently downloaded over the RollCall network via a PC application and stored in non-volatile memory.
